              OMICRON'S YEAR IN REVIEW

Our chapter is completing our 43rd year!  Our chapter business meetings were well attended.  Our programs this year included a stress management workshop, a Providence House informational session, an instructional craft activity, and a Founder's Day Jeoparody game to test our DKG knowledge. We also traveled to the Surflight Theater in October to see the play, Steel Magnolias.

We welcomed four new inductees: Eileen, Kim, Jill, and Thea. We look forward to getting to know each of these key women educators.

Omicron was well-represented at our annual DKGNJ State Convention in April. Nine (9) of us attended the convention.  Highlights of this convention included meeting Int'l First Vice President, Candi Martin, as well as our keynote speaker, Victoria Kessler, who spoke about NJ's Commission on Holocaust Education.  We are proud to recognize that Omicron sister, Diane R, was installed at the incoming DKGNJ State First Vice President.

We continue to support seven (7) projects, including: SEE, GIRLS, Providence House, Mitten Project, Books for Babies, Omicron Grant in Aid, and local food pantry donations.

Our chapter's executive board will be meeting in June to plan next year's calendar of business meetings and events.
